INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND VIDEO

Install Using Screws and Tape (Recommended)

  1. Unlock lid and remove cylinder(s) from the bracket(s).

  2. Decide on placement: We recommend hanging dispensers so that the bottom of the bracket is 48" from the bottom of the shower floor. If possible, do not position the dispensers directly under the shower head.

  3. Make sure wall is clean and dry using isopropyl alcohol (important).

  4. If hanging more than one dispenser, tape mounting template to the wall to use as a guide, or mark desired location on wall using level, leaving 2.5” space between brackets. For single dispensers, you only need a level. No mounting template will be included.

  5. Mark location of screw holes, and install anchors for #10 x 1” stainless steel screws.

  6. Peel off the tape backing on the back side of the bracket and screw the bracket into the wall using #10 x 1” screws.

  7. Tighten the standoff and screw at the top of the dispenser cylinder. The standoff will be on the outside of the cylinder.

  8. Slide the cylinder onto the bracket, making sure the tube is pushed all the way down onto the bracket. If the lid is not closing flat on top of the tube, make sure the tube is fully inserted.

  9. Fill dispensers to 1” below the top of the tube (DO NOT OVERFILL) with your favorite amenity product and pump until liquid starts to flow through, assuring pumps are primed and ready for use. Note that thicker conditioners and lotions may take longer to prime the first time filling.

  10. To lock the dispensers, fully insert both pegs of the key into the holes on the lock and turn slowly about 1/4 inch until the key stops (to the right to lock and to the left and up to unlock).

Note:  We strongly recommend using screws to attach dispensers.  If you decide to use one screw, we recommend screwing into the bottom of the dispenser.   If you prefer to use only adhesive caulk and tape:

Install Using Adhesive Caulk and Tape

  1. Follow steps 1 - 4 above

  2. Peel off tape backing on the back side of the bracket.

  3. Apply a strip of adhesive caulk (such as Liquid Nails Fuze-It) down the middle of the bracket between the two screw holes. Make sure the adhesive caulk you use is recommended for your shower wall material.

  4. Firmly press bracket against wall, applying pressure along full length of bracket. Do not move/slide the bracket once you place on wall. We recommend using a J roller to ensure adequate pressure.

  5. Allow the tape and caulk to cure for 24 hours before exposing to moisture.

  6. Slide the tube onto the bracket, making sure the tube is pushed all the way down onto the bracket. If the lid is not closing flat on top of the tube, make sure the tube is fully inserted.

  7. Fill dispensers to 1” below the top of the tube (DO NOT OVERFILL) with your favorite amenity product and pump until liquid starts to flow through assuring pumps are primed and ready for use. Note that thicker conditioners and lotions may take longer to prime the first time filling.

Refill Recommendations

  • Refill dispensers weekly to make it part of a routine cleaning operation, and to maintain a generous reserve of product. Conditioner is used the least so may be able to be refilled less often and body wash is used the most.

  • To refill, pour directly from the gallon or use a large (32 oz.) squeezable condiment bottle.

  • Open lock counter-clockwise on top of dispenser with Kure key and lift lid. Fill dispensers to 1” below the top of the tube (DO NOT OVERFILL). Note that the first time filling, the pumps need to be primed. Thicker conditioners and lotions may take longer to prime.

  • If dispensers with liquids have been unused for a week or more, dispense a small amount of product from the pumps so that the liquids do not harden.

  • Viewing window recommendations

    • Use windows as a secondary signal in the event a dispenser runs out of liquid in less than one week. With normal usage, liquids should last close to 3 weeks.

    • Use the template for installation to ensure dispensers are far enough apart to view

    • the liquid through the windows.

    • Put conditioner in the middle since it needs to be refilled less often and is often a white color which can more easily be viewed in the middle cylinder.

    • For clear liquids and/or dark showers, a flashlight may help see the level of the liquids.

Cleaning and Care

  • Wipe down dispensers after each guest using non-abrasive cleansers that do not contain harsh chemicals. Make sure to dry the lever when cleaning.

  • Do not overfill your dispenser. If liquids (e.g., shampoo) do get on the bracket/lid or screw in the back, wipe down immediately. If discoloration occurs, wipe with a soft brush and non-abrasive citric acid cleanser.

  • Deep clean dispensers by taking them off the bracket, filling with warm water and pumping until all water has been emptied out of dispenser. Do not put in dishwasher.

  • Note that microbeads and exfoliants can cause the pump to clog (and they’re bad for the environment!).

  • Dispenser bracket removal:

    • Pour hot water along the back side of the bracket to soften adhesive.

    • Use razor wire or a fine cutting tool to cut through the tape behind the bracket.

    • Remove residue using a razor blade scraper or 3M Stripe Off Wheel.
